Economic Development

A strong pro-business climate is critical for Southwest Missouri to be successful in competing for new commerce and creating jobs in a global economy. As your Representative, I will encourage responsible stewardship of state finances and work for a balanced state budget without placing undue tax burdens on the business community.

As a business owner, I understand that small business is the backbone of our economy. I will support initiatives that positively enhance the small business and entrepreneurial climate in Missouri and encourage growth and development in this critical sector.

Education

Missouri’s future prosperity is directly linked to the educational achievement of our workforce. Continued investment in all levels of public education will ensure that a properly trained workforce will be available to meet the needs and expectations of Missouri employers.

I support funding for elementary and secondary education for all areas required to make our state’s educational system competitive and capable of meeting Missouri’s educational needs. I will support efforts that provide for legislation that promotes adequate and equitable funding for public education across the state.

Higher education institutions in our region have a tremendous impact on both the local economy and the workforce and play an important role in community betterment. As your State Representative I will support our area colleges and universities and advocate for legislation that would ensure any higher education funding formula considers student enrollment as a factor.

Agriculture

As the largest industry in Missouri, agriculture plays a crucial roll in all our lives. I will strive to protect the interests of those involved in production agriculture and work with agricultural groups to ensure we maintain a safe and abundant food supply.

Environment

I believe we each have a personal responsibility to manage our resources so they will be available for future generations. We must do our part to protect the environment without hindering economic growth in our area.

Life

I believe strongly in the sanctity of life – including the unborn – and will fight for legislation to protect life at all stages. Lincoln has been endorsed by Missouri Right to Life, the state’s oldest and largest grass-roots pro-life organization.

Second Amendment Rights

I believe the Second Amendment simply and clearly guarantees citizens the right to own and carry weapons and should not be watered down. As a NRA member, farmer, and sportsman, I will do my part to make sure our Second Amendment rights are protected.
